THE PERSON
The Director will:
  • Have a deep and lived faith in Jesus Christ;
  • Possess excellent management and mentoring skills as well as effective communication and conflict resolution skills;
  • Have a deep respect for and capacity to implement HR policies and ethics.
THE JOB
The Director will:
  • Supervise and direct administrative staff and their activities including fundraising objectives, employee relations, budgets, technology, and operations.
  • She/he will serve in the rotating chair of the leadership team (Director, iE; Director, NAIITS) in the development and pursuit of IP’s vision for ministry that encourages member mandates and priorities.
  • Take the lead in funding development and management to support the ministries of IP.

The Director will ensure the smooth administrative operations of IP and its two program expressions, iEmergence (iE) and NAIITS, aiming to maximize overall performance of these ministries through cooperative planning and implementation efforts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Together with the Director’s of iE and NAIITS, devise strategies and plans for IP to achieve effective ministry sensitive to Indigenous peoples needs;
  • Together with the Directors of iE and NAIITS, monitor the budget and resources of IP to ensure solvency and integrity;
  • Oversee and provide direct supervision to all administrative staff and procedures;
  • Provide staff with opportunities for continuous learning for personal and professional development;
  • Work together with the Directors for iE and NAIITS to create and undertake administrative employee performance evaluations;
  • Devise funding and donor relation’s strategies and tools. Research and submit funding applications that suit and benefit the ministries;
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preference will be given to Indigenous persons;
  • Must be able to participate in the generating of financial support for the position, consistent with staffing policies;
  • Minimum of a Masters Degree in relevant field, willingness to pursue further education is an asset.

  • High level of bi-cultural competency
  • High level of awareness of and competency within the diversity that is the Indigenous and non-Indigenous Christian church
  • Proficient in core computer skills and able to learn new systems readily
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
  • Aptitude in resolving issues and conflicts
  • Proven experience in supervision, program management, and performance evaluation procedures
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, resourcing,
